Well... ive been doing alot of thinking... and although I have not made a decision on where the motor will go, I believe I have decided where the transmission will go. Assuming the 6spd (ill send it out to be gone over) is ok... I believe I want a b-body to row. So it will be a while till we get the camaro to the shop to strip the drive train... but when we do... I will tote up all the 6 spd stuff and order whatevwr is needed for the swap, and hopefully the NEXT WINTER project will be the 6 spd swap behind the current "TUBBY" engine set up...

I guess the way I see it is... I enjoy cruisin the Impala and I believe it will hold its value better as a swap (or not) than the TA would. And as far as Im concerned... i believe the Impala will be my "emotional void filler" for the camaro, whether it gets the motor or not.

sounds like a good idea. then u can just swap the motor and stuff over to the trans am if you want to, or clean it, get an engine dolly, and put it in the man cave as a heirloom of sorts

I think you will enjoy the impala much more as an m6. And I believe you are correct about its value being more with it than the ta.

So the more time passes... the more thoughts I get.

Now Im thinkin the TA is gonna get the boosted 385 as everythimg will easily swap over with no need to fabricate or really buy anything new. It will go in front of the automatic which will get sent back to CPT to handle the extra power if required. Definitely a new TC.

The motor that comes out of the ta will then get built and the Impala may get a rear mounted turbo set up... will all depend if I blow the motor up and how bad with the N20 kit from @harner till the swap happens...

Once the swap happens... Ill have an N20 kit for sale.

This is the way Im leaning FOR NOW, but with many months ahead of me till the camaro drivetrain gets pulled... still have lots of time for this to change.

The Impala may still get the 6 spd... but then again... I may have the trans and tc upgraded by cpt for the turbo build... wanna try to give ALEX S, a run for his money with the ol LTX...

Well... with many of my friends building fast ls sc sedans... I feel it's time for me to step up the game with the Impala. For those that have not seen my "stand alone" thread, the plan will be to put the camaros heart in the Impala (when we finally get it out of the camaro).

Im looking to upgrade the P1SC to an F series blower to finally throw the boost at the motor that we built it for... looking for 15 to 20#s.

I know I know... we will see what it gets but those were the intentions for that motor when we built it the last time.

I will be keepimg the Impala an automatic car... obviously with a trans and tc upgrade from cpt to hamdle the additional power...

I will either pack up and store the 6 spd swap stuff for a later date... or I will put it up for sale (no idea what to ask for it...)

I will also be putting the P1sc up for sale as well if anyone is interested...

Plans for the TA are still to get @harner s n20 system and whatever suspension stuff the camaro has salvageable as well as the rear of its ok...
