Looks like it can make up to 8# of boost. I do not know if a stock bottom end with any longivit.

Popo8 has experience with on of this and I believe he make good power for a street machine.

I beleove procharger recomends no more than 6 lbs on a stock bottom end.

Believe me with the right pulley a p1 can make alot more than 8 lbs and will grenade that motor before u get to 2nd gear.

If this is the last car you will build then do it right the first time or you will be doing it again to the car and may continue to do so . I understand the the emotional value of something your father leaves. So if you have a 383 that's forged and you need to change the pistons. Wouldn't it be better to build that one for the p1.

I was given advise from someone that it's better to start with the suspension and rear end or have all the components in place before going boosted. If you have the factory 10 bolt it will not hold up to being beat on vary long if at all.

Our you running a manual trans o auto?
