    Default looking for c5 info (brake swap )

    looking for a simple question ..to be answered i was told that ls1 spindles would fit c5 calipers and rotors ? ....i cant seam this to be true...
    also whats the best adapter bracket?

    From what I have read is that you can find hardware, brackets. To convert to the C5 rotor and brake setup.

    Camaro96, how did you get that spindle cut so well? It looks perfect.
    93 Z28, 383, PI 3200, Strange 12 bolt, 3.73, Strange coilovers, suspension, and going 24X... for three years or so.

    Nope. For C5 brakes you have to cut the ear and use a bracket. HOWEVER..........I am pretty sure that the LS1 spindle will fit the Gen 1 CTSV Brembo caliper without issue and use a C6Z rotor. BUT, you will need to have the proper wheel offset to clear the caliper. http://ls1tech.com/forums/suspension...ll-w-pics.html

    You are correct. The LS1 spindle will take a ctsv brembo caliper. you're going to want a minimum of like an 18" wheel to clear with some clearancing of caliper, 19" wheel to be really comfortable. I have a set of 18" rims for my trans am and I had to grind down a couple of humps on the calipers to get them to clear.
