383 won't go Over 1500 rpm
I have a 383 with 24x and 4l80e and Pcm for less tune, well I drove if for the first time the other day since trans and 24x install and the car won't go past 1500 rpm and when you press the throttle it's sputters and rpm's don't climb but mph increases, at idle it will go to 6k rpm no problem anyone have an idea of what it could be? I'm getting aggravated with this dumb car

Does the car still have a catyletic converter? This sounds like it could be a clogged exhaust.

It's likely none of the above suggested, but it is probobly the pcm for less tune.

MPH increasing when the car isn't moving faster would seem to indicate a wiring problem. The 4L80E has dual speed sensors, one for converter input and one for converter output (or second sensor is on output shaft if provided). If the PCM detects excessive slip, doesn't it limit power? Not sure if this has anything to do with the 24X setup. Could these sensor signals be switched?

Did they change the shift solenoid pattern in the tune for the 80e? If not it will act like it's taking off in 3rd gear.
