    Default pt88/pt8847 question

Hello, I have a fairly simple question. I have a hotside kit for a PT88 and im wondering if i will have to do anything to make a PT8847 fit. I emailed precision and they said the outside dimensions of the two turbo's arent the same. Anyone got good pictures of the two turbo's sitting side by side or any other good info on the subject. If i have to hack my hotside to make it fit i might just do it depending on the possible gains.

Do they both have the same flange? Have you mocked up the kit inside the car with the pt88 on it to see what kind of clearance it has?

No i have not, I'm trying to pick my turbo. Its an LT1Boost pt88 hotside with the bigger header option. I am trying to find out if i can use the pt8847 with the hotside. If I have to do a bit of cutting and welding so be it. I got a response over on another forum and that person said the pt8847 had a smaller bearing section then the pt88.

    Here is some info

Confusing, PT went from the "PTXX" to copying turbonetics etc with "8847" style.

yes it is mildly confusing lol, the 8847 is the GT4788 guts stuffed in the PT88 housing.

    Thanks for the link!
