Project Nova II

I will let the lucky new owner start his own build thread but I wanted to share our newest project at the shop. Hopefully we will have another LTX powered Nova for the 2016 LTX Shootout.



It's not much to look at now but we will have it into a roller on Monday and then it's off to the body shop to start that process and by the time it comes back we will have the donor pulled apart and a bunch of new parts ready to go into her.

WOO-HOO!

I am ecstatic to have the crew over at Certified Performance taking care of the "Nova II" for me. As a lot of us as the body gets older, it gets harder to work on projects, especially of this magnitude. The timeline is looking good to have her at this years Shootout..... Plus I won't be in the parking lot changing rear leaf springs (1st Shootout), or installing a rattle can flat black paint job (2nd Shootout.) It will feel awesome to have something worthy of the car show festivities. The build thread will start soon, hopefully by them I can call in a favor @popo8 to get my screen name returned to JCz Nova.

These are the 3 finalists for color. The gulf green is the original factory color that my 1st car, a '72 Nova was.

No, not a member and it's a 96 with 86k on it.

I did love that hugger as well. It may get another look, but wouldn't have the stripes... Or be as bright as a highlighter!
