Cruisin OCMD 2016

It's that time again. Time to start thinking about OCMD 2016. If you have never been there, you must experience it!

Cars from Florida... TX... Canada... Arizona attend this event.

Mrs Popo and I go down early... from the previous Sat or Sunday. It allows us, some US time, however cars/cruiser can be seen creeping earlier and earlier each year.

The actual even, with the convention center show and the inlet shows start on Friday.


Thurs May 19th
Friday May 20th
Saturday May 21st

But pretty much, Wednesday May 18th is when u start to see the town begin getting taken over by cruisers.


HEADS UP- After the awesome weather last year and the humongous turnout, some of the shenanigans have made the towns people... the OCMD PD and the local government a bit unhappy with the whole event. Im expecting to see a large police presence, and a big attempt at controlling the trouble makers... street racers... vehicle exhibitionists, etc. So be on ur bestsest behavior.

ALSO- for the past 13 or 14 years I always stay at the "HorsePower Hotel," on 73rd street (BeachMark motel), across from Big Peckers.

I know a friend of mine (with a mustang, from Cleveland) as well as @ZGOBYBY have me locking them in for rooms, since its another friend of mine that pretty much organizes the Horsepower Hotel (we rent out the entire motel for our group).

If you are interested, let me know and I can see what is available. Locking in soon is a must though. We run out of rooms FAST.

I should be down in the Camaro this time. Had to take the bike last year... The 3hr ride down the highway on a rickety old cafe racer was awful lol.

My friend should be bringing his Model T down.
