POS Verizon remanufactured phones!!!
I lost my cell phone on Friday, paid the $50 for a replacement, only to be sent one that doesnt work. I wouldnt be as mad if this was the first time.. But this is the second. Happened to me over the summer too. Sent me the same kind of phone but the key pad didnt work on it.
I figured that was a 1 time thing, no harm done, everyone makes mistakes. I was obviously wrong, and this pisses me off. How can someone pass a phone that doesnt even work??? Honestly, this is just beyond rediculas. 2 FREAKIN TIMES?!?!? SERIOUSLY?!?!
How about they stop being so damn cheap and sending a new phone, since they probibly cost them 2 cents to make since they are probibly made in China. Instead, you send customers broken phones?? Not once, but twice?
I've been a pretty loyal Verizon customer for the pas few years, but this whole "We want to be cheap asses and send people broken phone.. And not one time, but twice" crap is just stupid. I called customer service, wasnt pissed at them since it wasnt their fault, and they were actually pretty helpful, but now I am going to have to go to Verizon tommrow and get another replacement which means not having my phone for another few days.

I love verizon but I had the same problem with an old phone I had about 4 years ago.. got a reman and the ringer would not be loud at all.
Every phone I've had since then has worked great. And I get service better and in many more places than my g/f does and she has the iphone with at&t

I had Cingular, then it took a crap when they merged with AT&T. Switched to Verizon because I already used them for my land-line. Now I added FIOS too. I have always been pleased with their service. However, my fiancee is on her 3rd Voyager. I don't know if it's phone specific, but they don't hold up what so ever.

I will admit, Verizons service is the best that i've ever seen or used. BUT, its the whole being able to use it thats pissing me off. I dont want to switch phone companies after my contract expires, but this is just BS. 2 phones?!?!

A little update... I went to a Verizon store today to have a tech. look at it. Sure enough.. They said it was broken and to send it back to the POS remanufacturing company and the guy gave me the number to call. I drive back home, call the number up, and go from there. After being disconnected twice, talking for about an hour, and taking in all their crap, I had a major head ache.
I call them up when I get home, they had me do a whole bunch of tests on the phone, even though I just took it to a verizon tech. who I guess sent them all the paper work too.. Tried to get me to say I dropped it or it was damaged from water, and a bunch of other nonsense. Get through all that crap, after about 15 mins, the lady finally says "Looks like were going to have to send you another phone!".. I said "I will not accept another remanfactured phone.... You have been 0/2 so far". She tries to convince me that its a very rare occasion that phones dont work, and I basically said I must be one unlucky guy then, since both phones they sent me that were remanufactured dont work.
I finally get her to send me a new one, or one that isnt remanufactured.. But my phone currently isnt in production anymore, so shes making a huge deal saying how shes going out on a limb (even though shes not... because the guy at Verizon said they will do things like this all the time), so I look it up, same exact phone, but looks a little different. I'm still kinda pissed off because this is the second time this has happened to me within the same year, and asked for a phone thats $20 more new. They said they couldnt do that. I'm a little frusterated because they have wasted my time and energy for the second time.
Wasnt asking for much, I wasnt the one who skrewed up, If they would have sent me a phone that worked, I wouldnt have gave a damn.. But they didnt, and it wasnt the first time either. They were 0/2.
I ask to talk to a manager, and shes all snotty with me. I am a very hard guy to piss off.. I wasnt even being mean or being a jerk over the phone.. I just wanted what I thought was pretty fair. The manager comes on the phone and is like "I see you want to have an upgrade on your phone which we dont offer". I said yeah.. Told her the whole situation, and her response was "Well sorry... We cant". At this point, I'm starting to get angry because this lady is acting real snotty, I can hear her having a conversation with someone else in the background, and is just being a bitch to deal with.
I said, just get me the phone we were talking about before (the upgrade... which is the EXACT same phone, but only looks different.. Not even kidding.. I looked up all the features and everything else, and its exactly the same thing), shes being a bitch once again, while I'm trying to stay calm dealing with her, and then she starts making up crap. I asked her if this new one would be new or remanufactured. She said "As we told you last night sir.. The upgraded phone will be a new one". Now I'm all like WTF??? I didnt even talk to anyone last night.. Then shes like, well.. Its a new one.
Asks me where I wanted it shipped to, and continued to be a bitch over the phone.
I'm not a jerk or anything like that. In all honesty, I'm probibly one of the easiest guys to deal with. I'm one of the best customers anyone can ask for as long as they show me some respect and dont try to rip me off. I've been a loyal Verizon customer for the past few years, and this is making me mad. I didnt go in there looking to argue, since I've learned it wont get you any farther, and tried to work the problem out in a professional manner.
Dont think i'm going to be resigning another contract with them, or at least I will be dropping my insurance coverage since those idiots cant do anything right the first time.
