    Default Anyone ever run these?

    Mickey Thompson Street Comp tires.

Same specs as the Nitto NT555, but are a wet weather tire also.

Then there is the Sumitomo junk.

My new wheels are on the way, so I need tires now.

Daily street driven, never have time to go to the track 2.5 hours away. I live in CA so rain is not an issue.

Prices are about a $100 spread from low to high.

    Thanks

    Marc

I've been eyeballing these for my 5th gen. They get rave reviews from the Camaro5 guys. I know someone who has them personally and they like them as well.

Personally, they look a lot like Cooper's Zeon RS3-S

MT was bought by Cooper. The Coopers are cheaper at my local tire guy so...

@uncool where in CA? I'm up north in the Bay Area. Looks like a good choice. Sumitomo tires blow. They only have like 1 tire worth running and it's not in that size

Edit: nvm saw a recent post your probably so cal ish area

Arctic White 1996 Z28. Stock internal LT1, CAI, LM1, MGW Shifter, 3.73's, some suspension junk, and shiny salad shooters (retired). Forgestar F14's 18x10 on all 4. Fun stuff coming soon. Also, Cali smog regulations suck...period. **Insert witty quote here** LT1FTW that is all. Have a nice day.

So did you end up getting the MT's? Any update regarding their performance?

They are on, hard as a rock. They spin very easy when cold. can still spin them at will when warmed up. Have not gotten them supper hot to see if they are any better for fear of the 10 bolt throwing pieces at me. If you have a daily driver and want long tread life, I think these would be the way to go. Will report as I get more miles on them.

If my days off ever line up with track days I will let you know.

I had a private invitation to Laguna Seca and could not get the time off from work. Needless to say I was pissed.
