Finally... a new ride for me.
Well My tahoe was getting old... and the chief wants to try to save it for the winters... so we ordered two new explorers. I really wanted the awd chargers... but... money talks and these were cheaper.
So here is my new ride...

Chief let me outfit it how i wanted... so i lit it up like a candle in red and blues... but i ordered this pimp lightbar... when i hit the TAKE DOWN lights (used as a spot light)... the LEDs go all white and light up the night like the sun...

Sweeeeet. although seeing those impalas reminded me of the MANY hours i spent driving around that terrible patrol car, it did the job though.
383, Eagle crank, scat rods, Mahle pistons, 238/248 .565 cam. 3k stall, AFR 210 heads, Pacesetter LT, 58 MM TB and a few other goodies.

The 2004 Impala was fine for me... but those 2009 had a horrible shapped door jamb. At 6'4" and in gear... it was hard to get in amd out without rapping my head. The new explorer is actually very comfortable.

I definitely preferred the 04 as well. Granted i'm way shorter than you, but to me it felt better to drive and the 09's felt too cramped while in gear

Those explorers are really nice. I seriously considered buying one last year, but in the end, the F150 won.

Lowered suspension... bigger brakes... not much other than oir equipt. It also has dual exhaust... unsure if civilian ones have it.
