    Default rings and ring gaps

okay guys. i am at the point to where i am shopping for rings for the motor i am building. the car is going to have probe srs pistons ( http://www.probeindustries.com/Chevy...ns_p/14103.htm ) and some used manly forged h beam 5.7 rods.

so this motor i am building is going to take a heavy shot of nitrous .... looking at the 275 - 300 shot range. i know the pistons and rods will handle it with ease but i dont know much about rings and even where to start ... and i dont want to pop a ring land off the piston so i know i need to have a good ring gap so they dont butt up and ruin the piston/ head/ motor. so i come here for some help .... please educate me.

It depends on the ring due to various materials so IMHO your best option is to contact the ring manufacturer for their recommendation.
If you haven't already ordered the pistons you might want to think twice about running that piston since it is the light version and the deck
thickness is only .150 vs .240 for the standard SRS 12334. Just seems like a lot of giggle gas for a thin piston to me.

Hell fire rings and gap them to what they recommend. . Hell fire rings are a great n2o ring. They don't require and special honing procedure and seat fast
