5.3 into a 95 z
So I got what I thought was a decent deal on a low mile 5.3. I want to more than likely swap it into my 95 z28. What am I all gonna need for it? I have read numerous places that you need a ls k member for it and some places your just need the motor mounts. Could anyone help me out

K-member
oil pan & pickup
dip stick & tube
LS engine harness
intake manifold & fuel rails
water pump
Power steering pump
f-body/GTO crank pulley (and a new bolt)
convert trans (it it's a T56 i can list those parts too)
headers (or stock manifolds)
steering rack and linkage
that's all i can think of off the top of my head. if you have questions feel free to ask. i'm finishing my swap up right now so I've had to buy it all lol. it sounds like a lot of stuff but you can sell most of the LT stuff, some of it for more than the LS counterpart will cost you.

i should also add that the swap itself is very simple, almost 100% bolt in. no mods to the body, and you have to tap one hole in the block for the alt. if you have all the parts you need and don't end up needing to order something i think it could easily be done in a weekend, maybe even a day. i couldn't find a good list of parts needed so we just tore into is and bought stuff as we realized it was needed.
total after selling all my LT parts i have about $1500-1700 into my whole swap, $350 of that being my 5.3/harness/ecu.

yup. a stock LS k-member can be had for pretty cheap. i went with a MWC tubular one to lose some weight.

Is a K member required? The third gen guys just buy the $10 SBC to LS mount adapters. A K member would definitely be the easiest route, though. And the only reason why I didn't pony up the dough for one in my car yet.
