Goal is low 13s and reliable. I know driver mod needs to increase more so don't laugh. The car is reliable now but the motor is starting to show its mileage. I would cam swap it but don't have the knowledge or ability to do it. I would need guidance or help to know it's done right. Plus I don't have faith in my bottom end. Dunno if I have room in the garage to pull the motor either.
Budget.. Well let's just say $1,000 for now. It will increase more if I get off my butt and get a job.
Of course end game goals are fully forged 383. That won't come for awhile if at all. It's merely just a dream!Last edited by Dan; 10-21-2015 at 07:40 AM.

low 13s reliable should be pretty easy. As you said, driver mod is huge. More seat time and practice at the strip will help you a lot, that will come in due time as you get out there more and get more comfortable in the car. I wouldn't think you'd need much more power to go low 13s, I went 13.6 on my third pass and only have headers as far as power mods. personally I'd keep the build as simple as possible, i wouldn't build the heads if it wasn't necessary.
What are you running for tires at the track? and what were your 60ft times? I know with my car i could get the ET down a lot with better tires, I'm only able to pull 2.1 60ft times with the old DRs I'm using. I've got a extra set of 17x9 ZR1 wheels with some old BFG DRs on them I'd sell you for cheap if you want a couple extra wheels to throw some good tires on for track use. the tires on them now have a couple more track days on them probably.

Totally agreed. I need the seat time. I've made 8 or 9 total passes. Drag racing is a skill in my opinion. Takes practice.
My 60ft runs at 2.155 and 2.2. Those were with my two best times of 14.3. I run BF Goodrich Sport COMP II. 275 all around. I bog in first every time mainly because I'm launching too high. I really need to launch at 2k and pedal to the floor.
Curious.. How much would you charge for the extra set?

$80 for the set? they have a little curbing and you'll probably want to re-paint them. right now they're black w/ red spatter paint.
