also tint, wet the window, mat a black garbage bag to it, then let it almost dry, then pull slow from the corner. it will stick to the bag and come right off

2 options. one is Hoosier performance rebuildable hubs with hd bearings. they are custom made, and cost 699 for the pair.

wait a few months and Sam strano is coming out with an adapter that allows you to run SKF C5 HD hubs which are much cheaper, retain abs, etc

But isnt that stress on the hub cause of the camber.

no, the camber doesn't directly put more stress on the hub, the high loads associated with the tires not sliding when they are sticky puts more stress on it, along with heat, etc.

if you're running -1° camber, when you turn right the left tire will go to 0°, not negative, thus all the tire is on the ground, thus increasing traction, but inducing more stress on the hub. these hubs weren't designed for those loads

    Allllrriiight

Went back to waterford again today. Had even more fun. There were a lot of decent track cars there today so I got passed a lot lol. Those focus rs are pretty damn fast around this handling track.

Got a lot of help from other racers.. Giving me tips on how to hit apexes better. I was told by most that I need tires and frankly I agree.

There was a group of 5th gen guys there and they came over to me and chatted with me. Older guys, it was real great. Road racing people are nicer lol.

My current tires are all seasons and I think it's time I get at least summer tires for Woodward and road race activities.

I'm fairly certain I want to go with 18inch c7 Z06 wheels from oewheels. I know I'll be adding more weight, but I'm not trying to win championships here . I want to have MORE fun!
Right now, I think any "performance summer tire" will be better then what I currently have.

The track pics are my fastest laps of the day. Slow car though hah

Here's one video.. I got two more coming

As far as I know, we have 3 in lower Michigan. All are within 3 hours of me. I'm hoping to go to one of the other 2 this year. They have more straight lines so I can stretch my legs there atleast. Gotta see.

There are 3 or 4 more open track days at Waterford(the place I've been to twice now). Gotta plan it around school.
