Finally getting the Monte painted.
Dropped the old girl off at the body shop this week to finally get the body work done and a fresh coat of paint. And before anyone asks it is going back the same color. My great grandma bought this car brand new in 79 because of that color and I can't bring myself to change it now, and it really has grown on me. It will be losing all of the chrome rocker and wheel well trim and the chrome bumper inserts are getting smoothed and painted body color. I will post up some in progress pics as the project progresses, it won't be anything flashy but straight, clean and sanitary.

i had a 78 when i lived in pa i bought from a Abington Cop for 800 with 70k on it. i can't wait to see this thing done.
the last time i saw a nice one it was in TRAINING DAY (great movie).

I thought you were just going to sand it, bondo it, and paint it, but you're going all out. Keep us updated and great job.
93 Z28, 383, PI 3200, Strange 12 bolt, 3.73, Strange coilovers, suspension, and going 24X... for three years or so.

I paid them a little extra to snip a few wires involving the nitrous setup

Looking great. Love clean old montes.
Now: m6, 24x conversion, full bolt ons, fullish suspension
In the works: forged 355, le2, th400, 9", direct port 200 shot. Ton of weight reduction!
