Looking forward to the reasults...Questions though - why did you return the Summit TB in the early part of "modding"? I'm going ot sell my 52mm BBK and buy a 58mm - was wanting to keep the costs down and heard the Summit TB is the same as the Trick Flow - figured it might be okay? Curious to hear your thoughts...

The butterflies on the TB did not work properly. Even after modding the TPS, it just didn't want to idle right. Took the TB back off and it looked like it was defective. I couldn't adjust it properly so just decided to send it back in favor of a bigger name TB. At the time, few people ran the Summit TB and everything I heard about them was negative. Plus, the Internet keyboard warriors said to keep the stocker since it's good up to 400hp lol. The TB worked great when revving, but just idled high. That was also how many years ago so I'd give it a shot.

hmmm...good to know, thanks. I might just stick with another BBK - if I had to send a Summit TB back, it would be a huge pain in the ass (Shipping everyting across the boarder is a hastle and expensive).

If you're on a budget, I'd say give it a try. After seeing your build thread I think you'd be happier with a BBK or other well known brand. Summit didn't hassle me with a return, but then again I'm just the next state over lol.

Refresh my memory, is the Imp going to be 24x? They can do lt1 tunes but you'll need to provide software. They can do HPT, EFI, and the other big ones. That is why he was so eager after I told them about the 24x haha. They do dyno and street tunes, so if you stay LTX and they can figure out how to tune it, you'll be happy with the end results. If you go 24x, you can probably find a tuner closer to you and maybe save the cost of driving/towing the car all over.
I do not know Justin, but I'm positive I saw him name before. I'm pretty sure we have mutual friends on FB.

The Cutlass was neat. The owner found some frame rot and while fixable, basically took the car off me for next to nothing. He has since fixed it and replaced the trans with a TH350. Drives it daily last I heard from him.
I also forgot to mention that when I sold the TBSS, I got an 06 Silverado out of the deal. The truck had 212k (216k now), 5.3/60e, 1500. Just put new rubber on it all around. Runs great aside from a rear main leak. The truck also came with a low mile LM7 (5.3). It is set aside for the IROC lol. Also got a set of free 317s and grabbed an intake/fuel rails/inj/tb cheap. Just need to make up my mind on a trans and go to the yard for accessories and a harness/pcm and it'll be ready to get swapped in the Camaro. Going to keep it budget friendly and I'm currently just collecting parts as deals arise. The T/A is priority.
