Looking for steam pipe location alternatives.... I can weld a bung to the radiator if needed, but can I tap into the water pump or elsewhere??... Pictures please.

'1-55241-X' here. All I really did was clearance the upper corners a bit and remove the slanted base on the bottom tray. It just sits flat now. The core support was only cut for the filler/cap and LS lid filter.

I'm going to run the steam pipe to the upper heater hose outlet on the pump. Not the best picture but you can see the barb fitting here:

Depending how well that works, I may end up tapping the return side instead. That's arguably the better way since you wont be returning "steam" to the inlet side.

McCauley.... Very clean!! I left my bottom support stock, so my radiator is standing up and tight against the top support with minor modification..... What are your plans for the harness that ran across the support??
i will definitely copy your steam pipe idea.... Awesome!!!!
blkchevy..... Do you have any pics??
as it stands now, it appears there is not enough lenghth in the harness to stretch it front of the radiator in the stand up position..... I would like it out of site to keep it out of the way of my fans, turbo etc.

There was barely enough slack to run the harness in front of the radiator IIRC. I had already done the wire tuck on the passenger side so, ideally, I would route the harness through the core support above the radiator. Hadn't played around with it too much though. Since then, I've gone 24x and have a new harness from BP. Beautiful piece but it hasn't been out of the box yet. Not sure how everything will turn out once I get it in.

Did you ever get those water pump spacers mounted?
