Default Stand Up Radiators***** Let's See Them

Griffin radiator should arrive today, so I have my weekend project. I've seen people that retain the upper radiator support, and that's what I would like to do.

would like to see how you modified your bottom support as well as the top.

    let's see your pics.....

    Thanks!!

i moved my lower support forward a few inches, then notch the upper mount on mine. I'm trying my hardest to use the stock radiator and fans though.

i later just cut the top off and re built it with square tubing and a flat piece to make it look similar to factory. that was easier than trying to box it back in lol

i've decided to scrap my idea of using my stock one, my son decided to stand on it... plus i'm still having space issues.

what griffin did you go with? the GRI-1-25241?
also what everyone doing with the two small ports on the the waterpump? are they just welding in bungs or blocking them off?

    I went with the GRI-55241-X...

not it sure about the ports on the water pump. I'm still using heart core, but ditched the A/C box.... Going to ditch the heater now though as I never drive during the winter. Any idea of what to do with the smaller hose from radiator to water pump??

thanks for sharing the pics..... My radiator came in damaged from Summitt so I have more time to look for ideas.

whats the difference from the 55241 and the 25241? looks like they are the same size, thickness, same ports.... ones just cost 100 more lol

    never mind
Ok to go into this a little deeper here are the three options you can get from Summit
    1. GRI-1-25241-x, (This is what everyone gets) 27.5"x15.5"x3", core size is 2" with an overall of 3". This uses only a 1" tubing!

    2. GRI-1-55241-x, same dimensions all around including core size but uses a 1-1/4" tubing

    3. GRI-1-55241-xs, same dimensions as previous but changes to a 2.5" core and overall is 2.5". Also uses a 1-1/4" tubing
