    This is a T/A with the American Racing 17x11 45mm offset wheels in the back:

    To me it looks like the edge of the tire is outside the fender slightly. Not all that bad.

    Now, if you want something really wild, check out these 19x13's with 355 tires...... yes, mini-tub.

    In photos below.... yes rear wheel gap is huge. It's set up to clear 28" slicks, with Eibach Drag Launch springs that sit about 1/2" higher than stock.

    thanks! I think it is the perfect wheel size for 4th gens, only reason I would go with a smaller wheel is to go with a 15 and a drag tire for traction purposes.

    that trans am doesnt look too bad with the 45mm offset, I wish there was more pics of it, I couldnt really zoom in on that link

    Kelly owned a the ProjectTransAm bulletin board "back in the day". Had a lot of excellent tech info and how-to info. But he got tired of it and just shut it down. I was an Admin, and it took me by surprise.
