I've ran true duals in 4-5 different ways on LT1 cars. I don't think it's worth getting hung up on crossovers or not, where they should go, or anything else like that. My fastest car has duals with no crossover, so did the Corvette. I ran a Summit 3" xpipe kit on my beater car, it's a cheap way to get a free flowing exhaust. It liked it factory, bolt on, cammed and then heads/cam.

You will have the loudest 13-14 second car at the track, be right up there with fart can'd honduhs.

For your car, bud, I would stick with a Y pipe and catback for cruising and put in an electric cutout or two for when you wanna be loud and obnoxious. That way you have a loud/quiet switch. All loud all the time in a daily driver will eventually get old.

Is it really that loud? I think how loud it gets should depend mostly on what mufflers I use right? I would bet anything that even if you have a true dual setup you can still shut up any car by running silencers, not saying I want a quiet car, just wondering why you guys say that it will be super loud just because it is a dual setup..

The idea is not to make the car louder man (Even though I don't mind it being louder), I've heard the car with no muffler having a Y pipe and sounds like crap, it's very different than the note on a V8 with true dual exhaust

Well, are you retaining cats and putting mufflers on both sides (that aren't bullets)? Cats do quite a bit to quiet down the exhaust, and then the muffler adds another level of noise reduction to boot. I suppose you could get a true dual setup decently quiet-ish.

No cats, they are long gone and no bullets either.. I would look for some magnaflow mufflers most likely

its gonna suck trying to fit two regular muff's under one of these cars, bullets are a pita enough. good luck either way. we had a 2.5" true dual w/ x-pipe on the heads/cam car with two pypes race pro mufflers dumped, ground clearance was next to gone and the car is stock height, they smacked everything, honestly it made the car feel like crap for whatever reason. if you could get dual pipes tucked and run all the way back and then get regular muffs tucked, it would work better

I will try to find the video of my set up. I have mine true dual up to the muffler which is a two in two out magnaflow. When I had the motor stock it sounded good and wasnt obnoxiously loud
