Thanks fellas. The HUD I got from LPE years ago, but just installed (with the help of Fastbird) just last year (royal PITA to install IMO). I got it initially for the RPM mode so I wouldn't have to look down while racing. But I usually use the MPH mode more (and really enjoy the top speed recall ).
It cost me like $250, but I have seen them on ebay for much less.1995 Z28 - disfunctional now, perhaps insane after its "treatment"
