    Default LTX in a 72 C10

I want to covert my 72 C10 to a ltx I have everything needed for the swap. Cant decide if I want to keep it FI or carb it.Carbing it would be much easier but mpg would suffer this is a DD so mpg is important. I dont know where to start on swapping to FI. How do I hook the harness p for FI. Any help would be great. Thanks

I'd say stick with the fuel injection. It's easy enough considering none of the gauges in the cab are computer controlled or anything, so you really only need the PCM and engine harness, and find a way to integrate a data port for programming purposes.

Your best bet will be to find a donor car. I see a lot for under a thousand these days. I bought my t56 formula for $700. Granted it needed new bottom end but a stock refresh on that would still put me pretty cheap if that's the way I went. Hooking up the engine harness is pretty easy if you get a solid donor car.

I will be pulling everything out of my 97 Z28 383 harness and all and installing it right into my C10. My Z is going to get a 355 with a turbo or SC and a auto trans.

Nice. That should be an easy swap. Like drop right in and go swap. There is always little things that snag up a build but a sbc to lt1 swap is one of the easiest I've ever seen.
