H/C LT1 > new m3
Cruising the interstate home from work last week and I see some HID lights run up on me quickly and ride close behind me. Then I see him change lanes and roll up next to me and slow down. Dude rolls his window up and gives me a thumbs up and says it sounds awesome. So I tell him thanks and I like his car too (all blacked out new M3 with carbon fiber hood and trunk). He rolls his window back up and I hear him drop a gear and start to slow down. Game on. I slow to match and he honks it off from about a 50 roll (bad speed for me, too low for 3rd, too high for 2nd). I drop to 2nd and tag the rev limiter almost immediately, then shove it into third, I look over and he is already falling back. I wrapped it up through third, into 4th and shut down about halfway through. Look back and he is about 3 cars back. We get back to regular speed and he catches up again and gives me another big thumbs up. I let him go ahead so I could hear his car, and he did a quick pull so I could hear it. Man that thing sounded mean. Guy was cool about it, glad to see a euro guy give respect to an american car
BTW this all happened on my road trip to Mexico last week
