first start up with new head gaskets
anything special i should follow for the first startup or first few startups with new head gaskets? just wanna be safe and not have to yank anything again. give me your rituals, odd habits, etc please

I usually do a good luck dance but it didn't seem to work last time. Lol.
Just a head swap...as long as you torqued to spec you should be fine. Just bring up to temp, top of fluids, check for leaks. Did you use permatex head gasket sealant?2012 Sierra - 5.3, Summit "Stage 1" Truck Cam

No, cometic said use nothing, i used arp bolts and indian head shellac for the headbolt threads
