The one from the car was. would grab like a mofo in 1-2 and if light throttle was applied it would accelerate, 3rd would grip a little but more than 10% and it would slip like in neutral.

Just wondering.. Would it be worth the money to put a cam in it before putting it in my truck? Its my daily but I do like going down the track now and then.. and if it would be worth it... would I have to upgrade my valvetrain

Lol... Why would it have a problem... ? LTs are torque machines.

Very nice truck. Sad to see a seemingly good camaro turn down but I've wanted to do a swap like this in a 4x4 90s truck for a long time.

My TBI seemed to hate towing. But its a tired engine so maybe that was the problem. And yea, I felt bad about killing a camaro for my truck but the car has some title issues. I know they could be solved but Im not down for the hassle. It was at a shop who did some work to it, people couldnt come up with the money, even after more than 180 days of lead way from the shop. Then they sold it to me. I had the LST run the VIN before pick up to make sure it wasnt something that I was going to get in trouble with. That stuff makes me so nervous as I bought an engine years ago that turned out to be stolen. After two years of court and bs, it finally got dropped thank God.. If in doubt.. decline.. not worth a felony charge for sure.

So my girl and I were sitting around and I was looking at some other engine builds online and she says "you should have your engine painted to look like that". So we went to the parts store and got some engine paint to dress the engine up and sneak in a little engine education which she at least pretends to be interested in.. haha. Anyways, here are the pics of it after some high temp paint.

Used gloss red for the block, gloss black for intake manifold, and wrinkle black for the valve covers. I like it, hope yall do too.
