Couple of winners in the shop this week.....
First a 05 Sedona.....thank god I wasn't working on this one. In for a timing belt change due to a suspected broken belt. Coworker pulled it apart, found a bunch of teeth sheared off the belt at the crank gear. Gee, I wonder why.
Closer inspection of the outer passenger head cam:
Seized like a mofo. Someone wasn't keeping up with their oil changes either......that tar was damn near solid in that thing.
Then......this Chevy truck comes in.......wanting the thermostat bolt holes fixed. I wonder why:

I had a young lady with a kia snapped the belt while driving. Dad insisted to take it to "his" shop. They had for 3 months and couldnt get it to start. Came to my shop, in a half hour figured out they put the crank 180 degrees out. Customer said find out how bad the damage was. Took the head found 10 of 16 valves bent. Then Dad comes over to try to out smart me and tell me that if the crank is 180 out it shouldnt hit the valves.
