    Default Widely used acronyms for the LTXTech Forum

    Anybody that would like to add to the list below for acronyms generally used on this forum, please post and I will add to the first post. May help out fellow members new and old.


    2OTL = 2 on the left

    9C1 = Police Package

    A4 = Automatic 4-speed transmission

    AFAIK = As Far As I Know

    A/FR = air/ fuel ratio

    AI = Advanced Induction

    AIR! = Air pump delete

    ALDL = Assembly Line Diagnostic Link (ALDL Cable for use with programming)

    BGM = Bright green metallic

    BLM = Block learn multiplier

    CAGS = Computer aided gear selection (AKA: Skip-shift)

    CAI = Cold air intake

    CR or C/R = Compression Ratio

    CETA = Collector Edition Trans Am (CETA Mod, painting lower rear bumper)

    CTS = Coolant temperature sensor

    DCM = Dark Cherry Metallic

    DD = Daily Driver

    DFCO = Deceleration fuel cut-off

    DGGM = Dark Green Grey Metallic

    DR = Drag radials

    DTC = Diagnostic trouoble code(s)

    EFI = Electronic fuel injection

    EGR! = Exhaust gas recirculation delete

    ET = Elapsed time (drag racing)

    EWP = Electric water pump

    FI = Forced induction

    FMIC = Front mount intercooler

    FML = F*ck my life/luck

    FPR = Fuel pressure regulator

    FRC = Fuel rail cover

    FS = For sale

    FTW = For the win

    FTMFW = For the Mo-fo-in win

    FWIW = For What It's Worth

    GI = Gauging interest

    GLWS = Good luck with sale

    GTFO = Get the Fock out

    H/C = Heads & Cam

    H/C/I = Heads, Cam & Intake

    HR = Hydraulic Roller

    IAC = Idle air control valve (http://shbox.com/1/iac2.jpg)

    IAT = Intake air temperature

    ICM = Ignition control module

    IIRC = If I remember correctly

    IMHO = In my honest opinion

    IMO = In my opinion

    J/K (JK) = Just kidding

    KM = Knock module

    LCA = Lower control arm

    LE = Lloyd Elliott

    LMAO = Laugh my *ss off

    LOL = Laugh out loud

    LT = Long tube headers

    LTCC = LT (engine) coil conversion

    M6 = Manual 6-speed transmission

    MAF = Mass air flow

    MAP = Manifold absolute pressure

    MIDS = Mid-length headers

    MWC = Midwest Chassis

    N/A = Naturally aspirated

    OBD = On-board Diagnostic (OBD-I; OBDII)

    OCC = Olds Custom Cruiser

    OP = Original Poster (original post)

    OTVC = Over the valve cover

    P/A = Power adder (super/turbocharger, nitrous)

    PE Mode = Power enrich mode

    PCM = Powertrain control module

    PCV = Positive crankcase ventilation

    PO = Previous owner

    PP = Pressure plate

    PPM = Purple pearl metallic

    PHB = Panhard bar

    PSN = Playstation Network (User ID)

    PTV = Piston To Valve (Clearance measurement)

    QBM = Quasar blue metallic

    RMS = Roadmaster Sedan

    RMW = Roadmaster Wagon

    RR = Roller Rockers (i.e. 1.6RR, 1.5RR)

    RT = Reaction time(drag racing)

    RWHP = Rear wheel horsepower (REAL wheel....)

    SBC = Small Block Chevy

    SC = Supercharger

    SCR = Static Compression Ratio

    SD = Speed Density

    SFC = Subframe Connectors

    SHORTIES = Short-Tube Headers (block-huggers)

    SMH = Shake my head

    SOM = Sunset orange metallic

    T56 = Manual 6-speed transmission

    TA = Torque arm, OR Trans Am

    TB = Throttle body

    TBB = Throttle body bypass (http://shbox.com/1/tb_bypass.jpg) (http://ltxtech.com/forums/showthread.php?23835-Throttle-Body-Bypass)

    TCC = Torque converter clutch

    TDC = Top dead center

    TNT = Test 'N Tune (Usually an open testing/grudge night for drag racing)

    TPS = Throttle position sensor

    TT2 = Torque Thrust 2 (wheels)

    TTIWWP (TTIWWOP) = This thread is worthless with pics (ADD SOME PICS!)

    TTT = To the top, OR Thread to top (Used to bump a thread up on the list)

    VATS = Vehicle anti-theft system

    VC = Valve cover(s)

    UCA = Upper control arm

    VE = Volumetric efficiency

    WOT = Wide open throttle

    WTB = Want to buy

    WTS = Want to sell

    WTT = Want to trade

    WX3 = Impala SS Package for Caprice

    XBL = Xbox Live
