I seem to have a small vacuum leak causing a rough idle.

Dropped the car off yesterday to Weapon X Motorsports in Cincinnati for my friend to get it dialed in on the dyno this week. Went with a 150 shot for now since i'm still pulling off the rail for fuel, eventually I'll get all the stuff for a standalone fuel setup I can run some c16 in but i'm a cheap ass lol. I'm also ditching the 85mm MAF for a SD setup too.

Shitbird made 390/410 on a Mustang dyno. I'm very happy with those numbers for a cam only 5.3! He didn't have time to get the nitrous dialed in so that will be next on the agenda.

Thanks! I'm going to grab some of the newer style knock sensors and upgrade to those just to be even more safe when I spray it. Seems like an easy upgrade and even more data won't hurt.
I've been talking to a bunch of people and it sounds like i'm going to try and get a set of LS6 243 heads for mine this winter so i'll have myself a baby iron LS6ish type setup. I really want a Holly high-ram intake but everyone is telling me if i plan to add boost later then my time/money would be better off going towards that. I think i'm going to do a reverse truck manifold setup with a Bullseye Performance batmo-wheel turbo in front and then right up into the intake and then run a smaller (thinking 50) shot of nitrous and maybe meth for cooling. I really don't want to deal with a FMIC and charge piping. routing sucks when it wasn't supposed to be there and i was always chasing charge pipes popping off. If i did run a IC i think i'd do a air/water under the dash since it's empty under there and then turn the intake around backwards to make routing easier but that's all waaaay down the road. I know the rear is a ticking time bomb and it'll be expensive to get it done right the first time so i'm not thinking about it every time i race someone.

I have a nice pair of CTS-V manifolds you could use Also, I got my 243s on ebay after weeks of shopping. I think I paid 250 (sniper bid of course haha). Look for 799s as well, they are the same. On a 5.3, these heads WILL flow better and also lower compression a little.

How much you need to get for those manifolds? I'm interested but the car part fund is HIT after the cam and tuning lol
Yeah 243s (or 799, thanks for that tip!) seem like a great budget minded option for the 5.3!

I'd do $100 shipped. They are heavy pigs and still have the oem heat shields. Nothing broke, came off my 33k mile V2.

Some fun in Mexico the other day. SS had drag radials and an intake.
