It also has flashing red and blue lights.
It's Michigan, but I would think all states would be the same?

No. Each state has its own version of most laws. Yes, nearly every state has the same laws but are worded differently or are more/less strict. Some states say the car can have the emergency light on the vehicle but cannot be turned on or in some places hooked up.

Other states like PA will require signs that say something like "out of service" or even a cover on the lightbar.

This whole thing is a mess 1st of all we do certification recertify cation every year and this past year they passed of new law stating that we had to get a search warrant a to actually draw the blood in the past for as long as I've been an officer drawing the blood never required a search warrant what required a search warrant would have been for us to get the blood are sent to a lab for the results and that's only in the case where we couldn't be with the person after the crime technically in the past if a person crashed the vehicle we believe that they Were under the influence all we had to do was to put an officer with them from the scene to the hospital and the blood could be drawn and then we would take it to the lab being that it was part of the crimeoffense that occurred. Now with this new law I can't speak on behalf of this officer but maybe he didn't get to those updates yet it's still possible as we're only in September and updates don't need to be completed till the end of the year in fact we actually have another year passed that to handle updates retro actively. With that being said I think that he acted unprofessionally but again I wasn't there so I hate that home Monday night quarterbacking thing Monday morning quarterback lol. The whole thing is a mess if I understand the story correctly the person whose blood he was trying to get is an act is actually an auxiliary police officer who was driving a truck that ended up crashing head on with the vehicle that was in the midst of a pursuit running from the police fatally injuring the person that was fleeing from the police so I have a feeling is a whole lot more going on to this that we haven't been made aware of again this is my preliminary opinion I never would have arrested the lady what I've argued with her if I didn't know better probably but a search warrant although is a pain i* t** a** to get is easy enough to get the only problem is is that the law limits us to having the blood drawn within 2 hours of the violation and that's where this new search warrant has gotten to be an issue because it could easily take us more than 2 hours to handle that get a judge out of bed get the stuff signed and get drawn because of its not within the 2 hours we have to somehow explain what the exigent circumstances were that we could not get the blood drawn within that 2 hour requirement for the law. I did this voice to text so I hope it all makes sense
