Congrats guys!! I'm 4 days shy of 9months cold turkey tobacco free. I have noticed the financial difference and already feel better health wise. This winter was a huge test cause I was not sick nearly as much as I had been the last couple years.

So, on this same topic... I had posted our 2 year anniversary on FB....and I was contacted by a teacher in the school... She told me that she was in the process of the whole DONT SMOKE teaching in her health class, and she asked if I wouldbe willing to address her classes on my experience and struggles with quitting.

I was more than happy to do so...so last week, I addressed two 6th grade classes, and this week, two more... I LOVED IT... The kids hung on my everyword...hands kept popping up to ask questions.... and every time...we literally ran out of time answering questions at the end.....

Just wanted to share...

This week, 2 years ago.... I celebrate (not a good celebrate), being very ill (internally bleeding to death), from a disease that doctors believe (unsubstantiated at this point), happened from having quit smoking.

They have seen many cases of people suffering from this auto imune disease after stopping smoking. YAY for me.... CONGRATS LARRY..>YOU QUIT SMOKING, NOW DIE. lol

On Memorial Day, I will be celebrating my check in to the ER, after losing so much blood, and weight that they told me I should not have been conscious.

I was a good 1.5 pack-a-day smoker for close to 17 years. Going to the track or anything car related I could easily go through two packs. I quit cold turkey ten years ago this coming Memorial Day weekend. My first born had an extremely high temperature, we took him to the ER, after several hours there we went home and on the drive I got knocked silly with whatever he had. Major chills to the bone. Was laid up on the couch for almost a week and in that time, did not smoke. Figured since it was already a week, why not quit alltogether. Gained 40lbs in a couple years, but it was all worth it.
I fully believe because of the damage I did to my lungs is the reason why I hate running so very very much...

Today.. @Mrs Popo8 and I celebrate 3 years of having quit smoking.

It will be another month for me to quit the ecig which i used to quit smoking.

On that same one month anniversary. .. i will also be hospitalized with the disease that will have been my body's "reward" to me for quitting nicotene/smokeing.

Well I have been quit for 4 years.... and have had and will continue to have a lifetime of health issues, however there is some good.

I get to share my experience with the kids in my school, trying to keep them from ever lighting that first smoke...
