Tested the power steering lines on the steering box and they screw right in. One less thing to fight with.

Finally got to the point of being able to put the body back on the frame. It was a very exciting time.

Happy Memorial Day.
I had some time the last couple days to get some stuff done. I've been working trying to get everything all snugged down in the front end. I have the steering components all tightened down and connected to the steering box. Then I decided that I needed to see if headers are going to fit since they came out of a 90s chevy 1500 truck. At first it was a no go trying to put it in with the headers attached. I took them off and then squeezed them in. They fit pretty good, so now I just need to put some o2 bungs in them. I've been spending today doing that and messing with my dorman fuel line tool so I don't need to run any metal hard lines. It's all nylon. I also used a 2004 Buick Rendezvous fuel filter since it has quick disconnects on both ends instead of just one.
I'm going to try to fire it up tomorrow just to hear the engine run and make sure it's all ok. It has 190k on it. I resealed the whole engine and it turns real smooth by hand so we'll see. I just need to figure out how to run the fuel pump since I don't have the body harness ran yet. I just have the engine harness and pcm hooked up for the test run.

Steel wheels ftw. I bought a Cragar soft 8 in 17x9 because the Firehawk wheels don't clear the brakes or the upper ball joint and the Cragar fits perfectly. Going to order three more after I get some more cash. I'll be able to run a 275 in the rear also without rubbing anything. I love the look I'm going to get with the steel wheels. Major sleeper status, a sedan with steelies.

Been a while since an update but I blew out my shoulder and have been recovering for a while. I for sure will not make the route 66 show like I had planned this year and I may miss the deadline to have the car in my wedding. My shoulder has been doing better but I really have to watch how I move it or lift anything. I'll get some pictures of what is going on with the car after work. I somewhat ran the fuel lines and have most of the brake lines ran. New booster and master is in. Still need to get a driveshaft made, finish the floor where I cut the holes for the trans and fuel tank, wire the car, tune the pcm, nut and bolt everything before the test drive. It's going to be a real push with the wedding 6 weeks out.

I was at the river and completely dislocated it getting back on the raft. Most ridiculous injury I've ever had and the tendons are sore for a long time. Still waiting on the MRI results to see if any tendons are damaged.

Not yet, I had the MRI on sunday. Doc should get back to me tomorrow or monday. I have almost full range of motion just really limited strength. Pretty stupid considering I was weight training daily for the last 6 years. I'm hoping it's not torn or at least not bad enough to require immediate surgery. I have a lot going on right now so I can't afford to get surgery and be out of work for long periods of time.
