LT1 meets 65 Buick Skylark
Thought I would start a thread and let everyone know about my project. Its a 65 Buick Skylark sedan. Originally a 300ci and 2 speed column shift. Plans for it are a LT1 and 4l60E. I already have the motor and trans and wiring. I bought a totaled 94 trans am and took everything I needed out of it. I also bought a LT4 Hotcam kit for a little extra power. Just going to be cruising this car and going to car shows on the weekends. So I don't need 400+ hp..... yet
And here are some pictures; click to make em big.
Way back when it was still running under buick power.
Brother wrecked it.
Little cancer spot
All patched up
No more interior
300 disassemble
Pullin that beast out.
Done for the night.
About 1.5 - 2 years later. Finally have time to really get into it now.
Found a solid driver fender.
Old ball joint
Old shock. lol. Probably factory 1965
New 1 inch lowering springs.
Misc old front end pieces.
Tore the stupid rag joint.
Engine harness.
"Built" 4l60E, we'll see how long this one lasts.
3200 Performabuilt stall.

Alright, got the pics up now. Sorry bout earlier. Love to hear some feedback, LS1tech didn't think much of it in their conversion thread, but since this is LTXtech I figured people would have more input. Buick guys also give me crap.

Just a little progress today. Didn't have much time after work before the sun went down. Dropped the gas tank and pulled it out. Just need to disconnect the ebrake cables and the body will be ready to lift off. Oh and also i took the taillights out, they need new gaskets real bad. Here's some pics of it and the B-Body tank with wahlbro 255 pump in it. Have the hot wire kit somewhere also. I gotta find it.
