disabling antenna for CD use
has anyone tickered with their stock unit to disable the antenna from going up when CDs are playing but still goes up for radio? if so, how did you do it? i think the car looks uglier with the antenna up and rarely listen to the radio.

I'm not familiar with power antennas but, couldn't you just wire in a toggle switch or something so that you can override the head unit?

^^^He can do that but just the wire that turns the power antenna on. I believe it's pink on the stock harness for the power antenna. This would turn the antenna off when you hit a switch.
Alot of aftermarket head units also do this now. My JVC does it.

the head unit that I put in my car does that, only up when the radio is on, so much cleaner of a look, and you don't really see many f-bodies with power antennas

I just unplugged mine. I've never used the radio anyway, and my cd changer still works without it.
