Nope... not if dumping to atmosphere. I believe you can orient the gate to aim the exhaust vented down to the ground.

From my understanding, with the controller, double the spring pressure is about max.

Dont forget, a boost controller will only pull the pressure up twuce the rating of the spring in the gate. If you only are using the standard 7psi that comes with the gate, the the controller...
