Actually, what do you mean by the locating dowel? I thought you meant the dowel that the flywheel is installed onto. I don't remember there being a dowel for the pressure plate.

it was either a Ram or Competition Clutch - and...
it was either a Ram or Competition Clutch - and I'm pretty sure they both used the Chinese version of the pressure plate. I had to take the clutch out 5+ times and I don't remember ever worrying...
