Is it leaking from the from crank seal? One of my LT1's was leaking from there because there was a groove worn in the shaft of the hub that the crank pulley bolts to. I don't remember what they are...

The three LT1's I owned that I dynoed all made 230-232 stock. Those were auto's though. From what I've seen, the manuals are about 20 hp more, give or take.

Sucks about the headers, but the fact that they were willing to exchange them speaks well for the company. Hopefully you can have them fixed without having to remove them.

I have always heard that stepping up in gear ratio costs a few horsepower on a chassis dyno due to increased drivetrain loss. I've never done any testing to confirm or dispute this, though.
