I'm just curious how many people on here have actually had a bad knock sensor?
And how did you know it was bad?

Call 911 had one fail while in Kentucky for the Shootout. I dont think he was expecting it... lol
Never had one fail on an lt1. I know on the ls motors they have a tendency to go bad if the cavitys get filled with water and on nissans they go bad. You could always check the resistance on the.
All I know is he had an SES light.... MOE scanned it for him.... Idk about any running issues....
You should get a trouble code and timing advance will be restricted. Less performance.
i know my car pulls mad timing from my data logs so i think something is up and my gas milage is really bad too. should i be able to rev it and watch my knock count go up? i dont have headers so i dunno why it would be super sensitive but its robbing me of power for sure, my car isnt knocking but it thinks it is. wtf
im pretty sure this thing is screwing me, so i hear no knock, so why would the sensor be reporting a knock....what do i need to do to fix this?????
could it be my module
so no one else has a issue with false knock being reported? or do you know? unless you datalog you wouldnt know. but if you have false knock it pulls timing and you lose power big time. I swear im about to hack up my car so i can run a regular dizzy and toss the pcm and run somethin better.i dont care for how gm did these cars at all. they didnt give two shits about cost to the consumer for maintenance or reliability. i like fuel injection, but this crap is a joke. i want to run like a 93 5.0 mustang runs not this junk. opti shit
