I'm going to try and go atleast for the initial meet and greet. I've got a work meeting Sunday afternoon as well... Not really a "work meeting" but my boss is buying everyone pizza so yeah. lol

lol ya lisa works with my mom at pioneer communications. she is a pretty good family friend. i think i know the house actually... its been even longer since i have been to lakin, probably two years maybe more. i am pretty sure it was mr. langston. i could be wrong? he isnt teaching anymore but he did back when i was in highschool... or i think! haha definitely should just come check it out. my car is in no shape to run yet, still breaking in the new clutch!

ya i know lisa painter really well! lol she kinda baby sitted me when i was younger. and yes our farm is located on the minow road. its got the only emergency run way in south west kansas. i had langston for speech in highschool. wow crazy small... oh and i graduated in 05'. now you're gonna have to come to the next mett thing here in town! haha

I'll try to get a video clip up by Friday. I will say I ran GM gaskets (# 12552469) on my shorty's and they held up great... no leaks whatsoever the 2 years I had them on. I probably should've ran them again, but people seem to think the Felpro #1406 work good.

Do a daytrip up here on the 11th for the Manhattan cruise. Should be a good chance to break in the new exhaust.

Honestly, they slid in pretty well so the hardest part was getting the old shortys off (terrible clearances on the bolts with the primaries) and getting the new bolts in (If I was going to do it again, I probably would get normal 8-point bolts instead of the 12-point bolts, as it's easier to get a wrench on 8-points)

steering shaft had to come out but we didn't have to pull the starter/oil filter/valve covers or unbolt the motor, so I was pretty happy with that.

We couldn't salvage the o2 sensors from the old headers (I had Edelbrock Shortys on it) and I wasn't able to get to the auto parts store before they closed, so my buddy is finishing everything up for me (wire up passenger side plugs, put SS intake back on, get o2 sensors and install them) and I'm going to go pick it up from him next Friday.

The hooters run is in Kansas City. It's put on by PurposeBuilt.org.. I might be going to it, depends on what's going on in Manhattan that weekend. IIRC, it's pretty close to a good friend of mine's 21st birthday.

The Manhattan cruise is put on by KSU motorsports, and it's in early April. I think they're starting out at Vista Burger off Tuttle Creek and driving around for a hour or two then ending back at Vista Burger for lunch.

Yeah, we had a terrible hail storm last year. I think there's some very light hail damage on the tonneau covers of the Z71 as a result.
