This is for everyone. I've noticed a very sharp drop off in usage of this forum. It used to be VERY active, but it's really nose dived since I've been gone/returned. It saddens me because I don't see a survival if it doesn't get turned around. I'm just wanting to spark some life back into this place.

What is everyones unbiased opinion? Give the good, give the bad, open it up. What can we improve on? I want this place to come alive again.

Saw those and thought WOW, that's an insanely cheap price for those calipers. Granted you need rotors, but for $400 I think it's a great snag.

I have eliminated my power steering, ac, and all other accesories from my lt1. I would like to buy a low mount bracket to move the alternator down out of the way. I have seen two different styles on eBay and was wondering if anybody has tried either of them, and what likes or dislikes they had for either, clearance or fit, ect. They seem to be considerably cheaper and just as nice as any of the site vendors units that I've come across. Thanks for any help. Btw, both on ebay, one is being sold by gearheadworld for $70 without a belt. This one looks like it may fit a little tighter to the block than the other one. And the other is from pcmsforless and is $109 with a belt. If anybody has experience with either of these, please chime in.

Posted this up in the other forum so hopefully I can get some kind of answer.

Need some help, My tranny has a fresh rebuild, the only time that is on it is at the track, with about 4 passes. I have been backing it out of the garage weekly to work on the car, Yesterday was no different, reversed out of the garage, put it in 1st and shut her off. Went to back it up a little more and it is jammed in 1st gear and will not budge. I tried revving the motor, revving and trying to pull it out of 1st the same time and no luck, What the hell happened?

Hey guys, I've noticed that my coolant level in the radiator is dropping.. I've done several things involving the cooling system like:

-Purged the system (To change the opti)
-Took the water pump out (To change the opti)
-Replaced radiator cap
-Replaced heater core because it was leaking

I've checked everywhere and there are no leaks, also the car runs like a champ and doesn't overheat, however I did notice that coolant that is going into the reservoir is not getting back to the radiator, I read that there's a hose under the battery which is the coolant return to the radiator, do anybody have any pictures or something so I can see what exactly I should be looking for here?

They were advertised at 32 lb but when I looked up the part # they had been sold before as 42 lb. :hmm: I take them to napa for a bench test and at 40 psi they flow 79-80 mL in 30 seconds. They are black with a thin blue ring. Part # is 01d027b on the side and 0755 on the front. Any help identifying these would be great. Thanks!

I got up close and personal today with one of our customers personal collection of cars. A typical and very nice 2000 Vette vert, a 34 Plymouth that was all original sheet metal, the 55 blue truck that I posted on facebook a while back, but the last car just takes the cake.

A 39K mile, original, unrestored, FUEL INJECTED, 1963 Split Window Corvette, 327/4 speed combo. ALL ORIGINAL. Easily a 100K plus car. And it was amazing.

That's all.

I'm ecstatic last night we were able to fire up the car. I am only waiting on the tune and then I it is done.

when I started the goal was to install a new vig 3600, fix a taping on the driver side, a hard starting issue with rough idle , running rich, and a bad gauge cluster.

Well after everything was said and done the car runs perfectly. the new ls7 lifters are far quieter then the sealed power lifters that were in it. I deleted the Egr valve, replaced the high grade AC Delco platinum plugs for a set of AC Delco rapid fires. I noticed my gaping was a little off on some of the old plugs. the egr valve was malfunctioning so I decided to just delete it. the car would crank and crank before, when idling it would jolt a little every once and while and it surged when driving but could have been mistaken for a miss as well. while i haven't gotten a chance to drive it yet the car starts up immediately now and idles perfectly smooth much smoother on the scanner then it used to . We installed new AC delco 02 sensors and after coming out of open loop the car no longer smells like it is running pig rich so we will see. It is still a little rich in open loop but that is what it is. The true test of everything will be when I start driving it.

Trq converter was an easy install compared to what i thought it would be.

I have three issues i need to resolve. The coolant light came on after all this work and wasn't on prior checked the connection so the sensor must be bad. the serpentine belt is now to long because I deleted the A/C and added a gm Idler pulley. I have to take the car to a shop to have them fix the exhaust because no mater what i do it still fits like crap.

Overall though I am pretty ecstatic and cant wait to drive it soon. It still needs a ton of work in other areas though.
