So a couple days ago, i got a call from a guy i told a few month ago that if he ever decided to sell his 1995 impala ss to call me first. Well today ran down to look at it closely, he has owned it for three years and put 3k miles on it, its lowered a couple inches, with nice black center rims with chrome lips, 2 JL audio 12's in the trunk not hooked up, brand new dual flowmaster exhaust added when he bought it, the damn thing still looked shiny as new underneath the car stickers havent even burned off it, never driven in the salt or anything like that hardly any rust if any, interior is mint. engine bay and everything was clean just the car was really dusty from sitting and the passenger door paint is spidered a bit from the heat and sitting. 67k original miles. mint he paid 10k for it 3 years ago and was askeing 6500 but will take as low as 5500 just because he told me he found a diesel truck he really wants to buy and he's going to trade his newer dodge ram on it and wants to sell the car. He told me he'd like 6500 cause thats what he owes on the loan but im thinking about offering around 6k. This guy i dont know i just always saw the car sitting and wondered to myself if he would ever sell it and i left the note with my number on it last spring.

My other option is to buy a clean 95-97 or newer firebird/trans am, maybe a clean stock 6 speed (maybe auto, maybe) or mildly modified, im actually looking at a ws6 right now that im interested in. The question is idk which one to pick. Cause i can turn around and jsut sell the impala for like 9-10k imo. this is whats done to the ws6 firebird.
1996 Formula WS6, ram air package with 6spd, 78,000 miles, recently inspected, leather interior, power windows, power door locks, factory CD player, rear tinted window, oil changed every 3,000 miles with Mobil1 synthetic, I have all records of maintenance, paint is in good condition but shows some age. Upgrades: SPEC stage II clutch, 5.0 shifter, shorty headers, 1.6 rocker arms, Granatelli high-flow MAF sensor, 52mm throttle body, dyno tuned by Matt at Tune Time Performance, 3:73 gears, Flowmaster muffler with exhaust cut-out, Magnaflow high-flow stainless steel catalytic converters, Edelbrock torque arm, Lakewood lower control arms and panhard bar, cross-drilled and slotted rotors.

i can get pictures of the impala today casue i asked the guy if i could see it cleaned up. its such a hard desicion cause i had a formula for a month and i loved how fun it was to drive and want another one cause i got screwed on my formula nad got my money back, and i've always wanted an impala ss and this is the only one i've seen around here, and i've also never seen really very many ws6's around here either.

guys which would you prefer, now remember i'd probably jsut take the impala and sell it at carlisle this spring or locally.

Impapa is more rare to find like that, and I didn't read the whole desciption but looked like that WS6 has a quite a few mods and might be beat.
I rather buy a car stock and do what I want done to it so I know its the right parts and installed correctly ect ect

I believe they are proper length LCAs...... lowering it shoves the rear forward.....

I would go for the WS6 formy, much more rare than the impy, and six speeds are so much fun to drive.

Nah, the wheels were not centered from the factory. Having said that "IMPALA'S FTW" I have a 95 and I love it. I've done a few mods to the engine, transmission and rear. She's putting down 428 RWHP, runjning in the elevens and gets 20 MPG on trips. . There's just something neat about taking your 4400 pound sedan and killing the little Mustang guys. It ruins their whole day. Also, the Impala's are somewhat collectible now and they will be more so in the future, IMHO. I'd say definitely get the Big Bad Black car. In case you couldn't tell.........I like 'em.

I always liked the 94-96 Impy SS. I used to own a Black 1962 4door and was gonna get a 96 someday as an "upgrade." I have since bought the Camaro and a 1956 chevy 2 door (my other favorite chevy passenger car) and ont hink i am gonna get another LT1 powerd car anytime soon. IIRC Barret Jackson sold one last year in the $20K range. The one you picture is nice, but too low and the wheels look out of place. In all it is your money. good luck with your decision
