Looks like they have the dragstrip, oval track, amusement park and camping at BG. Anyone else want to have a site camp out? We did this with one of my snowmobile sites a few years ago when we raced at Haydays(worlds biggest snowmobile event and grass drags) It was an awesome time, kinda like the hotel lot last yr. Our site reserved an entire wing of the camp grounds and we stayed up bullshitting around the campfire all night!. Good times!
Anyone interested?

Hell there is a badass Drury Inn one exit down from the track we need to get a group rate plus free drinks each night and breakfast in the AM's !
Not to mention at the same exit there is the National Corvette Museum !

I need someone local to help find a close hotel to the track. Get us a group rate and see about a block set of rooms.

Actually we had a hotel for the night b4 the race and did the campout the night of the races. That way everyone wakes up comfy and ready to race, and can relax after the race around the fire with a drink or to and BS.

We need to talk to Chris (1FASTSS). He has been there the last 4-5 years with another event and had some good suggestions.

Mike, there a camp site and its about 150' from the track. I have never camped out there because I am usually with my dad but it looked like people where having a pretty good time back there during the NHRA hot rod reunion...not sure about showers there though?

Yeah, since we have a date now we should look into staying at the Holiday Inn, like I was telling Kyle its where most of the events (GS Nats and hot rod reunion) stay. I believe it will be even cheaper than last year and the hotel is just as nice...plus they have a huge parking lot that sees lots of after hour entertainment...The hotel is by all the eating and bars in town and is closer than last year to get to the track.
Tony, if you want PM me a number of rooms to block and I will get it setup for us.

Cool and cooler! If the weather is decent I think Ill stay at the hotel the first night and camp out the second. Dont really need a shower to drive home but it would be nice.

I assume there will be a Friday night test session. I would be down for camping but my wife isn't. Plus, we will probably have a 5 month old in tow.

I was wondering the same thing. Not sure what they have the night before...The events I've been to start on Fridays so there was plenty of track time at the event.
I would want to test again the day/night before.

Same here. Wife and 5 month old won't be too excited about camping. If it was just me I would save the cash and camp for the weekend.

Camping is fun in cool weather. But if it is warm out I need a shower and some ac.
It would be cheaper just not sure if I would want to pack the extra stuff that goes with camping.
