I have a 1997 SS with the 2OTL exhaust and stock headers was looking to replace the headers without changing anything else they make headers that bolt right up?

The only parts I want to change are the headers.

I'm asking if there are headers that will bolt right up where the manifold is currently so that nothing else will have to be modified to do this except swapping the parts

i suppose a shorty header would do that, kinda like these

Yes and no for an answer. Yes, there are systems that will bolt right up. No, as in there's no dual cat y-pipe options unless you want to spend nearly a grand on the Random Tech one if they even make it any more. You'll have to convert to a single cat setup which shouldn't be a big deal.......but that may necessitate modding the mid-pipe as I believe the 96+ dual cat cars had an s-bend that wasn't there on the earlier ones. Nothing major, but welding would be necessary.
My recommendation would be if you are emission exempt, get a set of Arizona Speed and Marine Headers, a thunder racing special made stainless ASM off road pipe, and go from there as to if you need the S-Bend taken out or not.

All headers bolt up in the manifold location with little modification. However, due to the year of your vehicle converting to a single cat is pretty much necessary if you plan to get headers at all.
I do recommend long tubes for obvious reasons, going this route necessitates a new y-pipe and O2 extensions. You may even want to consider getting a tune afterwards if you have other bolt-ons.

Ya was hoping there was by some miracle some headers that weren't pocket burning expensive that i could just bolt in without havin to change everything else... I don't have to pass any smog tests or the like so now im up for suggestions
Long tubes, ditch the cats and a mail order tune at least. . .
