Let me teach you guys a little about media coverage. They never get it 100 % right. There is always something not right or some wrong info in there. Trust me.....I have been in numerous mags and all have had at least one mistake. They do try but its just the nature of the business I guess. I think Justin did a great job on it. Wish there was more wheels up pics but the photos look fantastic. Last years article (written and shot by John Ulaszek) had more stuff about the winners and runner-ups. Justin did this one a little different.

Lets just be happy the event got covered as well as some sponsors and of course LTXTECH.com...even though the .com was left out. LOL

I got mine yesterday. I thought the coverage was pretty good. It was great to see many of the regulars on here getting coverage in GMHTP.

The twin turbo LT1 covered is a good article too. As is the ProCharged 3rd gen.

I am also wondering why they didn't post a chart of the winner and runner up for each class. That is pretty standard journalistic technique for event coverage.

Don't get me wrong. I'm glad "our" event got coverage, but my initial reaction is that it could have been better - and that we deserve more and better.

I agree with you. I also wish they would have mentioned the LTx Shootout on the cover.

It is still nice knowing that a group of friends (Tony, Kyle, Ray, ect) can pull together and keep this motor in the spot light.

He actually looked at every car in some way. Just had limited room in the mag. I think he mainly got the winners of each class and a few highlights throughout the event. Maybe someday our event will be large enough to add a couple more pages in the article.

I was surprised at how much space they allowed for the event. It's a shame that some cars didn't make it, but anyone that's been racing a lot will tell you that it's the luck of the draw as to when you make the pages of any publication.

That being said, I gotta be honest, I was quite disappointed that there was only 1/3rd of a page of text about the event. Not to worry...I've got that covered... assuming I don't get rained out on sunday, I should have a new PB.

My car is chillin in the garage right now on big-n-littles with MT 27-10.50s on the rear, and new strange SAs on the front. I've got a little more up my sleeve for next year though ;)

Yeah I saw the result of your first outing with the new shocks. It's gonna take som dialing-in for sure.

But remember, my car was lowered more than 2" and had road-race shocks on the front while I had full susp in the rear including comp 3-ways set at 50/50. Not to mention heavy 17" wheels on all corners. Weight transfer was zero. I bet my car lost damn near 100lbs between the new shocks and wheels. It had better go faster, lol.

That reminds me, do ya know anyone who wants a nice set of charcoal 10-spoke 17" '00-'02 SS wheels, I've got a set for sale with tires that are damn near new :)
