LT1 Vs Boosted civic

Every day at work at exactly 10:00am, buddy in his boosted 00-03 ish civic rips past. Going somewhere for break, every single day. Now i havent had a chance to call him out on it, but from what i seen the car was quite clean and looked pretty good, engine compartment wise.
.( I KNOW, im going to hell for saying that... but respect where respect is due)

Today i was just on a cruise through the city. Some very nice weather today, so i figured i should get out there and drive while the roads arent covered in snow.

Cruising along when all of a sudden i hear a low bassy exhaust. He does a fly by letting the blow off valve go right as he passes me. Continues to slowly pull ahead to see if i follow. Obviously i cannot let this opportunity pass. I figured id put this douche in my place and get on er a bit to catch up. He acknowledges this, and ITS ON.! :metal:

We start rolling up to the light, neck and neck, and before we can get there to stop it turns green. The advantage is already his(to some degree:laugh:) as hes already in boost. Rolling in 1st gear doing about 30kph, he starts the 3 horns. 3 horns up he pins er and sounds like he's running enough boost to blow up a hot air balloon. I get on er at about the same time. He stays with me decently till i hit 2nd and then i start pulling fairly quickly on him. I shut down at about 70mph and am already about 4-5 lengths ahead of him. He does his ricer flyby, doesnt even wave or anything. Doesnt even look at me, so he was pissed. Oh well, what a douche.

Yeah, why give them the chance to do a fly by? I usually destroy people so bad that they turn off behind me... course I haven't even had a good race in the Trans Am, minus my brother's formula.

my buddy in his 04 cobra ran a "12 second honda" and by the top of 2nd gear he was about 8 cars ahead and just let off. then the guy gets out and was pissed bc he was toyin with him. gotta love ricers, their so fun to pick on.

I like how you go from kph to mph in the same paragraph. But some of those turbo Honda's run their ass off unless its some backyard install with no tune and a stock motor haha.

haha true. me and a friend walked an LS1 T/A in his RSX from a 60 roll, the T/A reeled us back in when we went into 5th tho. right now he is just intake/rheader/exhaust/Kpro (street tune)

some idiot tried pulling me in a honda with some dumbass fart can and whatever else they put in those shit boxes, before i had my rebuild and before i had headers. pulled him by 15 cars. and he kept catching up after id let off and revv at me again like he wanted to go again each time like i didnt just rape him from a roll. like it never happened. i was very confused.

Weather was nice today, +25 ish :D . Supposed to be like this all week .
Dyno tune will happen in the spring, im hoping it will put me over the 300 mark from my 295 mark lol.

The new Si motors are rated put down 175ish stock trim. So a boosted one could have upwards of 250whp??? That much in a Honda is pretty respectable. But it just can't handle the torque :)

It was actually a nice car. It wasn't riced out or anything. Looked very clean.

Im going to try and get ahold of him and get some more info on it. Im quite curious now.

Guy I work with has an 08 Civic SI with an Injen CAI and Skunk2 catback. Its a nice car and makes respectable power, but is absolutely no match for my H/C/I/E Camaro LOL. I got my exhaust all finished up and he wanted to go for a ride so I took him out and did 1 little pull from about 10 mph to 90 at about 3/4 throttle and shifting at 5500. I looked over and you should have seen his face LOL I think it almost hit my floor board. I started laughing and said what?? He said "holy shit, its deffinately faster than the civic" But a few weeks later he wants to race me again.
