Im going to b putting a duel pod into my camaro. I already have a mechanical oil pressure gauge since i dont trust the stocker at all. Im stumped on what to throw in for the other gauge. I wont b goin nitrous or FI anytime soon if at all. Im a M6 so tranny temp is out. Im not looking for a light show i want it to b serve a purpose. Just curious on what u all would suggest on throwing in there.

That's how I have mine installed.

I'm running a Trans and oil temp. Along with a fuel pressure and wideband air / fuel. The last two would be useful choices.

I vote for fuel pressure or water temp.

Thats a really clean install! Where did you get the gauge pod from? Also, what gauges are those? Do you have any pics of them lit at night?

Back to the OP's question though, I also would reccomend fuel pressure.

i second this opinion
the gauge panel looks like one autometer makes, pn 2237
the gauges almost look like to me like the competition series...i dunno i'm bored at work right now

Don't think the gauges are from autometer. I am familiar with autometer (I have sport competition gauges in my Z), and those don't look anything like autometers.

autometer phantom 2 gauges, boost, fuel psi and AFR

Fuel is key for any setup. Boost, only if you are boosted. AFR is worthless without using a wideband IMO. In fact, the AFR gauges (like the one on hotrods car) sends false signals to the PCM (not good). I used to run one as well until I got word of it. Bryan Herter from PCM's for less won't even tune your car if you are using one.

Sorry I didn't get back to you guys sooner. My gauge pod is one that I had made and I painted. Got a few kicking around I think.

The gauges are indeed Autometers, the ES series. I still haven't hooked them up. Almost forgot I had them.

Fuel pressure is never pointless

Fuel pressure is a good idea to have reference to no matter if you are stock or not.

I had a bad run for a while when I put the blower in and had to upgrade the fuel system with a second fuel pump. The primary fuel pump would sometimes come off its hose in the fuel tank, and the only thing that saved the car was me seeing the fuel pressure start to drop on my fuel pressure gauge so I could shut down the car and put the fuel pump back on.

I ended up fixing the problem by going with a steel braded fuel line (the rubber fuel line is what kept coming off my fuel pump), but the point I am trying to make here is without my fuel pressure gauge, it is possible that I would have kept going and it would have starved the engine of fuel completely. If it was just at idle, it would not be that big of a deal, probably just killed the engine. However if I was at WOT, it would have gotten critically lean before it died and that could have been catastrophic.
