Fuel guage read E

Ok, I am a newbie to the Camaro, but, it looks like my sending unit is bad or a wire is unhooked. The guage reads empty all the time. Is there a trick to dropping the tank to get to it? It looks like I need to drop the axle and the exhaust to get it to drop down.

Sorry I didn't see your posts earlier. I just did the tests I found on shbox's site and found the sending unit is bad.

if it says E then put gas in it lol. sorry too easy

I am replacing the sending unit with one from a 93 z28 that I picked up. Hopefully it is the same. I am going to have to replace at least the rubber lines from the pump to the collar in it as well as the return line. I am planning on using the lines from my old one if it all works out well. I hope the pump is good on the unit I got. If not, I'll have to swap it out from mine that is still good too. I am going to do the fuel pump door in the trunk to make it easier. Wish me luck.
