Oh yes, another "what do you think of these wheels on my car" threads.
I like my white stockers, but they are starting to turn yellow and I need something bigger/better. I've been pretty fixated on C5 Z06 wheels since I saw Barney's car.

I'm just not that big a fan of chrome. Silver seemed to bland with my car, gunmetal was too dark. The color I liked the best was Argent, but it was hard to find many people that had them.

I haven't been able to find much information on argent wheels issues/concerns. Am I just not looking very well?
Here's a quick chop I did of them on my car.

Was looking to get some OE 17x9.5s all around. I'm not looking to be that original or stand out in a crowd. I just wanting something fairly simple, inexpensive, and that will look good.
(I know I need to lower it)
What do you all think?

So do I. Just don't want to go that route.

I just didn't want people to tell me to save up for CCWs, iForged, etc.
I'd be perfectly happy with some replica 'vette wheels. Just need help deciding on the finish.

I don't really think any of the other finishes flow with the car enough, but that could just be me.

Yeah because you have the best factory wheels lol. Those are the only factory wheels I would keep on my car from the LT's anyways

I'll always keep them. They have some pretty gnarly curb rash when I got them and I've been wanting to upgrade the wheels for awhile now.

I think the white ZR1's would be the best looking wheel for your car. Get 18's.
The Gunmetal grey only looks good on darker colored cars IMO. I had them on my car for a period of time, but never liked them. I sold them to a guy who put them on his quasar blue camaro, and they looked great on his ride.
All really matters of opinion on here, just depends on what you want. If you really care what other people think look good, again, I love the white ZR1 look for your car/color combination.
If you care, here's my car with the gunmetal grey Z06 wheels.

i think that the white zr1's would look really good on his car. They look good, simple design, wont stand out, will need a second look to tell they're not oems, and will still keep the right look and feel of being a 30th.

I also think gunmetal ZR1's would look killer. I'll try to find pictures of my friend's car with them...

And that's with 17x9.5's in the back... do a 315 and lower to fill out those rear wheel wells and it would look siiiiiiiiiiiick... in my opinion.

I understand where you guys are coming from, but if I wanted white wheels I'd just stick with what I have now. I'd rather go a different route and get some darker wheels (preferably Argent, which no one has told me anything about yet). I'll still keep the OEM wheels.

Those do look really good, but I'm partial to the C5 Z06s, but those make me think the Argent 17x9.5s will look good on my car.

You would need to have them powder coated. Which is a good idea for the original poster if he wants to do some thing custom.
