timing chain need help

hey guys we put the motor together last night and got the timing chain that came off the old shortblock that we bought it had 500 mile on it so the timing chain was almost brand new wen we bought the block so we get it on and the chain has way to much slack (align bore) so you motor guys wat do you do in that situation? another off the shelf one will be the same as we have now right? meaning there will still be slack in the chain. i need to know what all you guys do after havin the block bored and align bored.

if your running an ewp then you can use a set made for align bored blocks....
