Well with any hope my plans will go a little something like this.

A bored 355 shortblock with stock crank
Mahle forged pistons
Scat 4340 forged rods
Cc306 cam simple and easy to use brilliant for a first build
Jordan Musser stage 1 heads
Ported intake (it already has modified runners but I’m going to have the cast ported a little more)
58mm TB
1.6 com promags NSA with guideplates
36 lb svos
LPP longtubes & y pipe
Magnaflow catback (would like a gmmg but this is effective and easier on the wallet)
spec stage 3 clutch
s60 rear-end
and either a zex kit or an nitrous outlet kit. With PLENTY of juice

Sitting on my refurbished ROH snipers and a completely refurbished interior/paint job I’d like to maintain its sleeper look. . . .For any dress up I do plan to do it’ll be much later. I like the stock appearance of fbodys and aside from a few tarnished pieces of my interior and a 13 year old paint job my car presents itself well.

These are at least my first build plans – I’d like to go turboed some day . . . but I have much to learn and need to finish school before then. I figured with much budgeting and patience I can complete and learn from this build first. Then later on I’ll achieve something greater when I can financially afford it.

I have the support of friends and fellow lt1ers to help guide me along the way . . . and with help I hope to achieve close to 400 hp. . .if not no big deal I bet it’ll still be a big number and I’ll be happy with it!

400rwhp should be possible with that setup, but you might want to look at a better set of heads with a 355 (LE or AI stage 2 or maybe even a 3, unless of course the porter you want to go with can do something more like an LE 2 or 3). You have a decent sized cam selected so you would benefit from a better head. Dont cheap out on the intake porting either, especially with better heads.

And you mentioned some juice, so your going to be way up there depending on how much you want to juice on top of that.

oh yeah it's going to and has been plenty of work but i've got most of the big stuff squared away once thats done i'll account for the little things.

so far i've gone in order of priorities. . .

heads (which are completely assembled)
intake
LPP longtube headers are all paid for infact fedex is delivering the headers and y as i speak. went after them since carl mentioned he wasn't going to make anymore (although now i think he's going to make a second batch)

that's a decent chunk of it the only next big thing i would think is the shortblock. . .i need to focus on having that assembled by christmas or early spring.

I've had Tony look at the heads and he seems to believe that they will be enough for the cc306 I went after them expecting to use them with that exact cam. In fact the cam these heads where originally used with was allot bigger like in the 290 lift and a 580 duration it was some sort of TPIS cam.- now I’m not 100% on if it'll reach the power number i want but they are on a budget and I can always upgrade the heads later. . .

the intake I have has been ported to 58mm and has the top runners ported and re-welded - the rest of the cast is still there so i plan to have it sent off and ported a little more I have allot more room to work with on the intake.

We’ll see what happens in time i have faith regardless of power that this will be a strong motor. :)
