Yep, i have a problem with my fuel gauge, wondering if anyone can help me out here. Im not sure if it had to do with the purple wire i had to take out from the old harness and putting it into the new one. Maybe it came loose? What else could it be? Any tips and suggestions on fixing my issue would help, thanks

Maybe the floater is stuck at the top.

I didn't have to swap any wires though... I guess that's only for the voltage booster option or what not? I thought I needed the harness, but all I had to do was modify the bucket for the new pump and it was pretty much plug and play...

That purple wire is the signal wire for the gauge. Did you get it back in the proper hole?? When I did mine on my old black car I remember there being a couple of ports the purple wire could have gone into. Get it wrong, it's open voltage, gauge reads full.

When I installed the new fuel pump, I installed the purple wire in the correct prong. But the guage still read full. So I took off the fuel pump unit to check the purple wire & it was still intact connected to the prong & very secure. So I am now thinking I damaged the float while installing the new fuel pump??? Any other help or tips will be appreciated. Thanks

Make Sure that its on the gray wires side.

do you have the ground part of the sending unit hooked up?

no problem,

im not sure of where to buy a new one other than possibly a dealership, or maybe a junk yard or something like that, but i know you can make a new one. you just need the connector prongs and a wire.

Late update: Finally fixed the gauge problem it was the purple wire! Why cant racetronix just make a harness that has the purple wire clipped in already, it was PIA to connect that purple wire into the prong. But all is fixed n good now thats all that matters
